This band, once known as Flow, was a trio formed in the late summer of 1996 with members Jon Holbrook, Ron Griffiths, and Shawn Castonguay. Jon was a guitar player and Ron was a Drummer and they had been jamming together for years. When guitarist Shawn joined, they started as a basement band --minus a bass player.

In less than 6 months they had 8 originals. Their style was not yet to be named and other bands in the area were either death or grind. They just kept playing their own style of raw, punchy, low-tuned melodic metal. By November, Pete Miner was joined into the band because of his fast learning bass playing skills.

In 1997, Flow had 12 originals with no demo, no shows, nothing. Just a year and a half straight of playing. By December of 1997, they went in the studio to record a 7-song CD.

Since then, the band has been striving to get out there. Bassist Pete Miner left because of a good job line-up. Drummer Tony Cortez, of the underground scene, joined to play bass. The band now named Flothru has been playing shows in the area quite a bit so check 'em out. They flo!
